Lifeguard — Yoho Scout Reserve

We need passionate individuals who share in our mission by helping lead our summer camp programs.

JOB SUMMARY

A summer camp lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of all campers and staff while they are in the water. They are responsible for supervising all water activities, enforcing safety rules, and providing first aid when necessary. In addition, lifeguards are responsible for general cleaning and maintaining records of pool usage. A primary function of this and every other job at the camp is to ensure that each member, guest, and visitor receives the highest caliber of service.

LOCATION: 3566 Route 640, Yoho, NB, E6K 3B1

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise all water activities
  • Ensure the safety of all campers and staff while they are in the water
  • Enforce safety rules
  • Provide first aid when necessary
  • Maintain records of pool/waterfront usage
  • Ensure cleanliness of pool/waterfront area

 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Current lifeguard certification
  • Experience working as a lifeguard
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (strength and stamina to follow strenuous activities like swimming, running, crouching or carrying children)
