Base Camp Chief (Sub Camp Chief) - 24th World Scout Jamboree 2019
This is an opportunity for someone with strong leadership and management skills to run one of 6 sub camps with close to 6,000 youth and leaders and manage a staff of 200-300 adults at the 24th World Scout Jamboree in the Summit Bechtel Scout Reserve in West Virginia USA from July 22 to August 2, 2019.
Responsibilities include pre-jamboree planning and organization. The successful candidate will select and help recruit the Sub Camp Management and Staff team. During the Jamboree they will be responsible for operational management of the Sub Camp ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed by participants and staff. Staff will include Commissioner Staff, Repair/Maintenance, Support Staff, Recycling Team, Food Distribution Staff (from Logistics Staff), Safety and Security (also from Logistics), Transportation/Mobilization Staff, Duty Officers, Stage Activities Staff (looks like Program Staff Group), Program/Recreation Staff, Program Staff Liaison, Health and Medical (under the Administration Staff), and some budgeting.
All told a large team but with 4 dedicated Senior Managers to help with the job. Support is also provided by the Operations, Administration and Logistics Teams.
