Bring a Friend

Bring a Friend

Over the past year, many Councils have found that a great way to bring more youth to Scouting is to promote our Bring a Friend program. Our own Scouting youth are our best ambassadors - it’s a great opportunity for kids to engage their friends in hands-on Scouting activities.

Materials for a promotion designed to put ever greater strength behind Bring a Friend have been shipped to Councils. Here’s how it works:
  • Each time a Scout brings a friend to a group meeting, the Scout will receive a $5 Scout Shop gift certificate (redeemable for any Scout Shop purchase, no minimum purchase required).
  • If the friend registers as a new member, he or she will also receive a $5 Scout Shop gift certificate, while the Scout who brought the friend receives an additional $5 certificate.
Bring a Friend has two components: a Bring a Friend postcard that members can give to their pals and a $5.00 gift certificate, valid until February 29, 2012.  Contact your local Council Office for final details on distribution and reporting.

Bring a Friend is one more way that we can share the fun. Scouts is the start of something great.

Scouts Canada, the country’s leading youth organization, offers challenging programs for boys, girls and youth age 5-26 in thousands of individual groups in most cities and towns across Canada.
