Kaylee Galipeau

National Youth Commissioner and Chair of the National Youth Network
Edmonton, AB
Kaylee has been involved with Scouting since Beavers and hasn't stopped since. She previously held positions as the Deputy National Youth Commissioner, Assistant National Youth Commissioner- West, and the Council Youth Commissioner for Northern Lights Council where she supported youth leadership and involvement. As the youngest manager on the CJ 2013 planning team, Kaylee managed the Special Events portfolio. She is currently a Rover Scout with 59th Velociraptor Rover Scout Crew. 
Kaylee has her Chief's Scout Award and is a Scouts Canada Youth Spokesperson. In 2010 she became a Junior Baden-Powell Fellow with the World Scout Foundation, and was awarded the Queen's Diamond Jubilee medal in 2012. 
Kaylee is a recent graduate of the Bachelor of Education program at the University of Alberta​. Kaylee works in municipal government administration in Grande Prairie, Alberta where she resides with her partner, David, and their pets Harper the Hedgehog and Nancy the Ball Python.

Andrew Price 

Executive Commissioner and CEO

Andrew Price was appointed Executive Commissioner and CEO of Scouts Canada in April of 2014.  Andrew donned a blue and brown hat at age 5 and hasn’t looked back since. His educational pursuits have given him the opportunity to expand his Scouting horizons to include New Zealand, Spain, and Scotland. Andrew served as a Deputy Area Commissioner in Ontario, a Deputy Council Commissioner in BC, and an Area Commissioner in Alberta prior to joining the National Leadership Team as the Deputy National Commissioner for Volunteer Services in 2010.  In November of 2012, Andrew was named Chief Commissioner and Chair of the Board of Governors, a position he held until assuming his current role.  Andrew is passionate about growing Scouting and ensuring more young Canadians benefit from great, safe Scouting adventures.  Prior to joining the Scouts Canada staff, Andrew spent ten years working at Imperial Oil where he held varying roles in Marketing, Refining, and Corporate departments.  Andrew is married to Brenda, a passionate Scouter, and they enjoy many outdoor adventures together accompanied by their Irish Setter Kayleigh.

Valarie Dillon

Executive Director - Human Resources and Volunteer Services
Valarie Dillon joined Scouts Canada in December 2010 as our Executive Director of Human Resources and Volunteer Services.  In this position, she supports both staff and volunteers, and oversees our Volunteer Support Strategy.  A seasoned human resources leader with over 20 years of experience, Valarie brings a specialization in talent development, enterprise performance and change management. She works collaboratively with Scout Canada’s staff and volunteer leadership to ensure that we have the talent we need now and in the future. In addition, she is concentrating on ensuring that the organizational design and performance management of employees and volunteers supports the Scouts Canada vision and strategic goals.

Laura Jarvis

Deputy National Commissioner - Volunteer Services
Laura Jarvis saw the fun her sons and husband were having as Beaver Scouts at the 132nd Toronto Scouts so volunteered to be the Group Secretary. She joined the Troop leadership team after an amazing experience at CJ’97 and has enjoyed seventeen years as a section leader as well as a trainer, Area Commissioner, Deputy Council Commissioner and Deputy National Commissioner-Council Support. She loves that scouting reintroduced to her to the wonders of the outdoor world and camping. She believes strongly in the value and impact of volunteering and can’t think of a better place to volunteer than with Scouts Canada. 
Laura is a civil servant with the Ontario Public Service where she has spent the majority of her career in the Sport, Recreation and Culture portfolios. She is currently Senior Program Advisor for the 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games.

Ian Mitchell

Executive Director – Field Services
Ian was both a Cub and Scout with the 1st Timberlea Group just outside Halifax. He was an Assistant Venturer Advisor for 1st Glen Margaret Venturers, Nova Scotia as well. He received a Teaching Degree from Dalhousie University in 1981. He began Scouting career as Field Executive in Nova Scotia (1985-1990), then continued on to be Executive Director for Northern Region, British Columbia (1990-1995) and then Director of Program – Scouts, Venturers and Rovers, at the National Office (1995-present). He is currently the Executive Director of Field Services. He lives in Ottawa with his wife Elva and they have two sons, Mark and Martin, and a daughter, Jocelyn.
