Scouts Canada volunteer Tracey Stock honoured at APEGA Summit Awards

Calgary – Tracey Stock, P.Eng., PhD, a long-time Scouts Canada volunteer, was recognized with the Community Service Award by The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) last night.
 
Dr. Stock received the Community Service Award for outstanding contributions to society. He has contributed close to 80,000 volunteer hours to Scouts Canada and for decades, he has been a program advisor with the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award in Alberta. Overall, he has given more than 100,000 hours of volunteer service to various non-profit organizations in the past 43 years in addition to making 625 blood, plasma, and platelet donations to Canadian Blood Services.
 
He has contributed close to 80,000 volunteer hours to Scouts Canada and has supported the Calgary Legal Guidance organization for almost 30 years, providing free legal advice to those in need. He also volunteered for several decades in the Calgary Food Bank warehouse and is a volunteer instructor with St. John Ambulance.
 
President of Ares Engineering, Dr. Stock is a professional engineer, lawyer, petroleum landman, and chartered manager focused on the upstream oil and gas industry, construction, health services, and education.
 
The APEGA Summit Awards celebrate leadership and excellence in the practices of engineering and geoscience in Alberta.
