Partnering for Community Development
Scouts Canada and Me To We work in partnership to enable Scouting members – individually or as a contingent – to sign on for a Me to We project in developing countries.
Our second project partnership is an exciting development project for Venturer and Rovers, in Ecuador, South America, from July 21 to August 8, 2012.
It takes place deep in indigenous communities of the country's rugged mountain regions. Explore the Amazon rainforest and Andes mountains while focusing on conservation, biodiversity and rural development issues. The country's rich cultures, contrasted against a history of indigenous issues and economic disparities, makes for a truly hands-on global education experience. The team will also have the opportunity to engage with local Scouting groups to participate in local traditions while gaining a better appreciation of our worldwide movement.
Me To We is a leading Canadian organization for providing youth volunteer opportunities in developing countries. Every year, they offer a variety of opportunities for volunteers of all ages to assist in developing countries around the world.
