Good Turn Week Community-Based Project Challenge

Submission Details and Criteria

Applying for the Good Turn Week Community-Based Project Campaign is easy. All you have to do is fill out the application form, provide details on your project and a comprehensive budget and submit to by November 30, 2014. Deadline extended to December 15, 2014!
Applications will be selected by a team of volunteers and staff and will be evaluated by the following criteria: 
  • Event must happen during Good Turn Week 2015: April 25 – May3, 2015.
  • Availability to work with our PR team on media opportunities and be responsive and available (within reason) during the planning and implementing process.
  • Projects must be large in scale (see examples below). 
  • Ideal projects will provide us with opportunities to pitch media in the following ways:
    • Photo opportunity with local print and TV
    • Morning Show live eyes or in-studio interviews (focus on project and/or preparation)
    • Print and radio interviews to talk about local project
There are no age or Section restrictions. Applications can come from a specific Section, Group, Area or Council. 
Selected groups will be advised of their funding and then reimbursed upon submission of receipts, a brief report and adherence to the program requirements.

  • October 25, 2014: Applications open 
  • December 15, 2014: Application deadline
  • December 22, 2014: All applicants contacted with results 
  • April 25 –  May3, 2015: Good Turn Week 2015
