Monthly Giving
Are you interested in becoming a monthly donor?
Monthly giving is an easy way to spread your donations over the entire year. Monthly donations are affordable and easy to fit into any budget. Monthly contributors not only reduce administrative costs, they also provide us with a predictable source of income that allows us to more effectively plan ahead and maximize donor dollars so that more of your donation goes directly to the Scouting program.
You can choose to have your monthly contribution charged to a credit card or withdrawn automatically from your bank account each month. You will receive one convenient receipt on an annual basis so that you can include it with your tax return. You will receive your annual receipt at the beginning of the year for all monthly donations from the previous year.
You have complete control over your monthly gift. You can alter the amount you donate or stop your gift at any time with just a simple phone call to 1-888-855-3336. For more information please feel free to contact us.
In Honour / Celebration Gift
A gift in honour or celebration of someone is a unique opportunity to let family members, friends or colleagues know that you are thinking of them on a birthday, Chief Scout or Queen’s Venturer Awards, anniversary, graduation, retirement or other memorable occasion. We will gladly send a card to the individual(s) being honoured, acknowledging their special occasion and your thoughtfulness.
Gone Home Memorial Gift
When Scouting’s Founder, Lord Robert Baden Powell died on January 8, 1941 he was buried in Nyeri, Kenya near Mount Kenya. His gravestone bears a circle with a dot in the centre, which is the trail sign for “Going Home.” The term Gone Home has been adopted by Scouting as a respectful manner in which to recognize dedicated Scouting members upon their death. A Memorial Gift is a meaningful way to express sympathy and to honour someone's memory.
Recognize a Leader
Has a leader made a difference in the life of your child? What a great way to say thank you to his or her leader by making a special gift in recognition of their hard work. We will send a card to the leader being recognized to acknowledge their dedication and hard work.
A Gift For Tomorrow
When planning a gift to Scouting, you can leave a legacy while maintaining the lineage of those yet to join Scouting. By planning your gift, you will ensure that your hard-earned assets will continue to keep the Scouting tradition alive for more youth to experience. There are many ways to plan a gift for the future, a bequest in your will, through stocks and securities, or you may chose to leave a gift through a life insurance policy or a trust.
Please let us know if you name Scouts Canada in your estate plans. By letting us know ahead of time, we can make sure your gift is used in the way you wish it to be used, including the possibility of establishing an endowment fund in your name.
Thank you for supporting Scouting in Canada!
