Opening Ceremony

All Jamborees start with an opening ceremony.

At 8:00 pm on July 25, 2007, CJ’07 participants will gather to celebrate the start of the Jamboree that marks 100 years of scouting in the world.

Participants come from all provinces and territories of Canada, as well as six other countries: United States, Ireland, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Taiwan and Australia.

As part of the opening ceremony, Canada Post will unveil a stamp that commemorates 100 years of Scouting, a week-long Youth Challenge will be announced, the national anthem will be sung, our opening night band “Live on Arrival” will entertain the audience into the night and the ceremony will end with a bang!!

Tous les Jamborees débutent avec une cérémonie d’ouverture.

À 20 heures le 25 juillet 2007, les participants à CJ’07 se réunissent pour célébrer le début du Jamboree qui marque les 100 ans de scoutisme dans le monde.

Les participants proviennent de toutes les provinces et territoires au Canada et de six autres pays, dont les États-Unis, l’Angleterre, l’Irlande, la Suisse, l’Australie et le Taiwan.

Durant la cérémonie d’ouverture, on aura droit notamment au dévoilement d’un timbre de Postes Canada commémorant 100 ans de scoutisme, un défi d’une semaine sera lance aux jeunes, l’hymne national sera chanté, notre spectacle de la soirée “Live on Arrival” promet du bon temps et la cérémonie se terminera en grand!!
