Registering for CJ'13

Step 1 - Prior to registering for the CJ'13 event

Ensure that all individual information in myscouts.ca is up to date for all participants as this information will be utilized throughout the CJ'13 process ie., medical and emergency contact information.

Read through this Q&A section prior to beginning the process.

Have all your Patrol information including individual Scouts Canada Membership Numbers (log into myscouts.ca to get Membership numbers and correct spelling of names) before starting the online registration.

Step 2 - Start the process

Where do I register for CJ'13 Jamboree online?

Groups/Patrols (including Leaders): http://www.cjregistration2013.info/participant.php

Volunteer Staff (OOS): http://www.cjregistration2013.info/oos.php

You must complete your registration all at the same time – there is no functionality to save your information and come back to it at a later date. If changes are required after your initial registration contact the CJ'13 Jamboree Office via phone 613-224-5131 ext. 258 or send an email to cj2013@scouts.ca.

Enter all mandatory fields on the Registration Form. Note: A Scouts Canada Membership Number can only be used per individual for registration.

  • Camping Information: If you plan on camping with another patrol ensure you enter that patrol's information in this section. Use this area if you are submitting multiple patrols.
  • Dietary Information: Enter the dietary needs here.
  • Travel Information: Select the method of travel you expect to take to CJ13
  • Medical Information: Enter any medial information in myscouts.ca for your participants will be utilized throughout the CJ'13 process
  • Special Needs Information: Enter any information that is relevant to the planning for you or your patrol attend
  • Patrol Information: Enter the membership number along with the participant name for each section. Both sections must be filled out. Volunteers Attending (must have 2 leaders), Youth Attending (must have a minimum of 3 members, maximum of 8).
  • Send your booking: Select this button to confirm the details that you have entered for your Patrol. This will send you to a Patrol Registration Details Confirmation page. If you notice changes are required at this point, select the back button in your browser to make the changes and the select the "Send your booking" button again.
  • Patrol Registration Details Confirmation: This page shows all the information that was entered for your Patrol for registration. You are now ready to make payment – scroll to the bottom of the form.

Step 3 - Make your Payment

Payment Method: There are two methods of payment that are available through the registration process. The user can select "Pay Now" which redirects them to Pay Pal or the patrol may submit ONE cheque for the entire Patrol as required by selecting the Pay by cheque button and mailing the form and cheque to the CJ'13 Jamboree Office.

Email receipt: You will receive an email for your registration titled: "CJ'13 Patrol Registration Details".

Completion: This now finishes your registration process sending it to the CJ13 Office. Remember to send your cheque and form to the CJ13 Office right away. If you paid only the deposit remember to send the balance by January 31, 2013 – write the Patrol Number on your cheque.

To pay the remainder of your balance by credit card, download the credit card payment form and send the completed form to cj2013@scouts.ca.

Questions and Answers

Is a Patrol required to send money with its registration?
Yes, a deposit of $300.00 per participant or full payment must be received with the registration form. The balance owing is payable by January 31, 2013. For fee details see the CJ'13 Event Information - http://www.scouts.ca/cj13/event.html.

For OOS, a deposit of $100 per participant or full payment must be received with the registration form.

I need to write my Patrol Number on my cheque to send it in with my registration form; where do I find it?
You can find your Patrol Number on the email that was sent to you with subject titled: CJ'13 Patrol Registration Details".

OOS should include their Scouts Canada Membership Number on their cheque.

I did not receive the Patrol Registration Details Page or email when I selected the "Send your booking" button, what do I do?
Select the back button and try selecting the "Send your booking" button again. If this issue persists Select the "Need Help" button on the left side of the screen and submit your challenge.

How can I pay for registration?

How do I pay for my registration online?
Select the "Pay Now" button that will redirect you to Pay Pal to submit your payment with a credit card.

Where do I send my cheque for my registration for CJ'13?
The address is found at the top of the CJ'13 Patrol Registration Details form that you must submit a copy of with your cheque.

I started the registration process on line but I lost network connectivity; what do I do?
Start the process over. Until you submit the booking no information will be saved.

I would like to confirm my Group/Patrol/OOS registration for CJ'13 has been received; where can I find that information?

I need to submit my final payment for CJ'13 Registration; where do I send it?

Ensure that your Patrol Registration Number is written on the cheque (The Patrol Number can be found on your Patrol Registration Details email/form).

How do International Scouts register for CJ'13?
International Scouting members do not have a Canadian Membership number and so must contact the CJ'13 Jamboree Office at 613-224-5131 ext. 258 or send an email to cj2013@scouts.ca order to register.
