Past Success Stories
Since the launch of the Creative Marketing Challenge in the fall of 2011, Scouts Canada has provided more than $15,000 in matching funding for groups from across the country.
Here are just a few inspiring examples from past recipients:
12th Central Surrey Scout Group in Surrey, British Columbia deployed an unaddressed ad-mail drop to all the households in their postal code area last summer promoting the start of the new Scouting year and offering incentives to join.
Tri-Shores Council, Mindaamin Area, Ontario ran two afternoon ice skating/winter fun programs promoting fitness and fun for 5 to 14 year olds and their parents. This created a forum to promote their programs and provide parents with an opportunity to interact with Scouters.
Battlefields Council, Hamilton Area, Ontario worked with three Montana's and Chicago Style Pizza Restaurants to target youth aged 5 to 10 and their parents. They created placemats based on the Scouts Canada school flyer with picture colouring, trivia questions and Group contact information.
