Born in Moose Factory, Ontario to an Indonesian mother and a French-Canadian father, Clément grew up in Povungnituk, Quebec City, Ottawa, Port-au-Prince (Haiti) and Jakarta (Indonesia). He began his Scouting adventure as a Cub in Ottawa, where his father was a Cub leader. Clément is now part of a great team of leaders to his eldest son's Beaver colony.

After a stint as a financial reporter on Bay Street, Clément worked for a number of politicians and ministers at the provincial (Ontario and Quebec) and federal levels as Director of Communications and Policy Advisor. He then joined the Canadian International Development Agency's media relations unit and now works as Senior Communications Advisor for the Haiti Program.

He graduated from the University of Ottawa where he studied Philosophy, International Relations and Law and pursued graduate work in Environmental Studies at York University. He now lives in Gatineau, Quebec, with his wife, their three children and their Doberman Pinscher.

Né à Moose Factory en Ontario d'une mère indonésienne et d'un père canadien-français, Clément a grandi à Povungnituk, la ville de Québec, Ottawa, Port-au-Prince (Haïti) et Jakarta (Indonésie). Il débuta son aventure de scout chez les louvetaux à Ottawa, où son père était animateur. Aujourd'hui, Clément est membre d'une équipe dynamique qui anime une colonie de castors, dont fait parti son fils aîné.

Après avoir travaillé comme journaliste financier à Bay Street, Clément a occupé les postes de Directeurs des communications et Attaché politique au sein de bureaux de députés et de ministres aux niveaux provinicial (Ontario et Québec) et fédéral. Il travaille présentement à l'Agence canadienne de développement international où il a occupé les fonctions de porte-parole, de gestionnaire de projets de développement et maintenant de conseiller principal en communications pour le programme d'Haïti.

Il a étudié la philosophie, les relations internationales et le droit à l'université d'Ottawa et a poursuivi des études de maîtrise en environnement à l'université York. Il réside à Gatineau avec son épouse, leurs trois enfants et leur Doberman Pinscher.
