In November, 2005, our Council Commissioners across Canada recommended that we provide a new membership card to all youth and adult members.  Not only is this a timely initiative as we look to celebrating our Centennial:  more importantly, it will make all our youth and volunteers feel welcome as one of over 28 million members in more than 216 countries and territories worldwide. 

This bilingual card has been designed with the Scouts Canada and World logos in the official colours of World Scouting.  It is signed by the Chief Commissioner and has a space on the back for the member’s name.

As you conduct your Area Registration Collections over the next few months, please ensure that each paying youth and adult receives his/her card.  Section Scouters may incorporate the card into their program; for example, in a program evening for completing the cards which also focuses on the world Scout Movement.
