Winston Adams wins Silver Fox award
Winston Adams, a South African, received the Scouts Canada's Silver Fox award. The ceremony was conducted in Korea during the World Scout Conference last July. Winston was presented with Scouts Canada's Silver Fox by Glenn Armstrong, our National Commissioner, in recognition "for services of the most exceptional character to Scouting in the International field."
Winston had been instrumental as a key volunteer in South African Scouting during the apartheid years. He was formerly Area Secretary of Cape Western Area and has since served the Southern Zone of Africa. Presently he is with the Africa Regional Office. Scouts Canada has had a very strong relation with African Scouting, and Winston has been a key player in this.
