Dinner with the Chief Contest Guidelines
1. Keep entries between 1 and 3 minutes if possible. Videos should represent Scouting values and not contain anything derogatory or obscene. See sample videos posted at http://www.youtube.com/scoutfocus for inspiration.
2. Entries will become the property of Scouts Canada (and may be used for promotional purposes – hence the need for photo permission).
3. All entries must be accompanied by signed photo releases for each individual appearing in the video.
4. Entries will be posted to our Scouts Canada YouTube channel as received. Videos must be sized and formatted to YouTube specifications.
5. Deadline: November 1, 2009. Winners will be announced in early November. Winning entries will be notified by email.
Instructions to upload videos to FTP site:
Open Windows Explorer (Start Menu, Programs, Accessories)
Copy ftp://sunshine.scouts.ca, paste into address box
Enter username: contestftp
password: contestftp
Then copy and paste your video file into the Video Contest folder provided.
Videos must be no larger than 100 mb. Please also include the name of the software you used for compressing your video so that we may open it.
Don't forget to include photo permission forms for each individual shown in your video. Videos uploaded without these forms may not be included in the contest.
