On June 20th, 2010 at 3:30PM the Pacific Coast Council will be holding its Semi Annual General Meeting at the Ismaili Centre in Burnaby (4010 Canada Way, Burnaby BC) [Map]

Hey everyone! Just a quick heads up to save the date, June 27 is when we will be having our PCC Gala Dinner!
Scouts Canada formalizes cooperation with Duke of Edinburgh's Award
On March 19th, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Edward, The Earl of Wessex, Steve Kent and Tom McGrath, National President of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DEA) in Canada, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) formalizing the cooperative relationship that has existed on an international level between the our organizations for many years. It recognizes the inherent similarities between the DEA and our youth program awards namely the Chief Scout's and Queen's Venturer Awards.
Camp Wolf Howl 2010 – July 12th to 25th
This is a great camp for girls and boys ages 8 to 12. Located on the Sunshine Coast, Camp WolfHowl runs for two weeks in July. For more information, visit our Camp Programs Page.
Haiti Relief: Great work PCC!
Through your efforts our council has contributed $27,506, after the addition of Council funds, for Haiti Relief efforts. After being matched by the Canadian Government the total contribution will be $55,012!

PCC will match your Haiti fundraising efforts!
The Pacific Coast Council Management Team voted unanimously to contribute up to $10,000 from its reserve funds to give added incentive for local members to take an active role in the aiding of earthquake‐ravaged Haiti. The earmarked funds will be used to match members’ donations or collections to the Scouts Canada Foundation – Haiti Relief received before February 12, 2010. All funds raised will go directly to the Canadian Red Cross Haiti Earthquake Fund.

North and West Vancouver Scout Groups Pledge $4000
Five North and West Vancouver Scout Groups, 1st West Vancouver, 3rd West Vancouver, 6th St, Agnes, 21st Capilano and 31st Capilano, have pledged $4000 from the proceeds of their annual Christmas Tree Sale to the Scouts Canada Foundation – Haiti Relief. Scouts Canada will forward these funds directly to the Canadian Red Cross Haiti Earthquake Fund.
The devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12, 2010 has caused catastrophic damage and massive fatalities and casualties. The Haitian government fears fatalities could reach 200,000, and the United Nations has described the earthquake as the greatest natural disaster in living memory.
The North and West Vancouver Scout Groups encourage other Scout Groups and service organizations to do what they can to help the people of Haiti recover from this disaster which has devastated their country.
