 Delta Beach Camp
Delta Beach

24 km north of Portage La Prairie on the south shore of Lake Manitoba, this campsite is ideal for bird watching or nature exploration hiking into the adjacent Delta Marsh (tours may be arranged through Delta Waterfowl Research Station). The Delta Beach cabin is a rustic cabin suitable for the use of all sections for three seasons of the year (spring, summer & fall) . There is an internal holding tank, which supplies drinking water for the kitchen sink and the washroom (cold only) from May through October. Groups must bring their own water after the end of October. Lake water is safe for swimming, laundry and dishes. There is also a outhouse provided on-site. The cabin has three small rooms with one bunk in each, and a larger room (also suitable for a craft/games area) with bunk beds, for a total sleeping capacity of 12 (though more can be slept on the floor of the larger room). Mattresses are not supplied - bring your own bubble pad or air mattress. The kitchen/dining area contains fridges and electric stoves with ovens, plus tables and chairs/benches. There is a fire pit on the grounds, as well as tenting areas.

To book or for more info contact the office by phone: 1-888-726-8876 or 786-6661 or email: manitoba@scouts.ca
