Ensuring No Youth is Left Behind.
Through No One Left Behind, Scouts Canada registered 3,224 youth from low-income families last year, offering subsidized membership fees, uniforms costs, outdoor equipment and camping gear to girls and boys aged 5-26 across the country — totaling $522,920 through the program.
“Far too many kids aren’t able to have [Scouting] experiences … and a lot of families — like ours — can’t afford these things without help.”
Paula Daley, Scouter and No One Left Behind Recipient – 2018
Scouts Canada’s No One Left Behind (NOLB) program ensures that every girl and boy can have the opportunity to participate in Scouting, by offering support to families across Canada who face economic barriers. Subsidizing membership fees and other related costs such as uniforms, outdoor equipment and camps, NOLB provides access for all youth to develop life skills pertinent to their future.
“Our family supports the No One Left Behind program because we believe that every child should have the opportunity to participate in Scouting. The NOLB program is especially important because many of the kids who need the Scouting experience the most, can’t afford it.”
Laurie Cunningham-LeBlanc, Donor – 2017
When we come together to make sure that no youth is left behind, all youth are given access to the Scouting experience, and a chance to build a positive future for themselves and the world.
It starts with Scouts.
“The opportunity to participate in Scouting programming is something every child should get to experience. My life has been forever shaped and enriched from my time in Scouting.”
Jeremy McQuigge, Venturer Scout — 2017
