There are certain requirements that Youth, Unit Leaders, and International Service Team members must meet to be selected for the Canadian Contingent.
Please review the following eligibility requirements before applying.
The jamboree fee includes the 23rd World Scout Jamboree registration fee, pre-jamboree in HONG KONG for unit leader and youth participants (breakfasts are included; lunch and dinner are not), jamboree kit, contingent and unit equipment, all meals during the jamboree, accommodation, activities, flights and ground transportation between the date of departure from selected points in Canada and Japan jamboree site.
Travel insurance is required but it is not included in the jamboree fee because individuals tend to have them through their personal insurance or as an employee benefit. If you do not have travel insurance, we will provide you with the option to purchase one before we book your airline tickets.
Payment will be collected via pre-authorized payment (PAP) only. After you register, you will be provided with a form to give us authorization to debit your individual bank account based on the following payment schedule.
|Date||Participant - Youth||Participant - Leader||International Service Team|
|January 1, 2014||$1,195||$1,195||$995|
|March 1, 2014||$1,200||$1,200||$1,000|
|July 1, 2014||$1,200||$1,200||$1,000|
|November 1, 2014||$1,200||$1,200||$1,000|
|March 1, 2015||$1,200||$1,200||$1,000|
If you would like to avail of Home Hospitality (HoHo), and we strongly recommend that you take part, the fee is $400 and it is not included in the jamboree fee. Payment for HoHo is due on July 1, 2014 and you can indicate that on the pre-authorized form (PAP) when you send it to us, or you can decide at a later date as long as it is before July 1, 2014.
If you register after December 31, 2013, your first payment will be the total of the payment installments up to your registration date. For example, if you register on March 31, your first payment will be $1,195 + $1,200 = $2,395. The remaining installments will follow the payment schedule.
No registrations will be accepted after November 1, 2014.
Insufficient Funds and Late Payment
If your individual bank account does not have enough funds to cover the pre-authorized payment (PAP) when we try to debit your account, you will be charged $25. Payments more than one month late may result in a withdrawal.
Refund / Penalty PolicyFor documented medical reasons only.
|Date (after these dates)||Amount|
|March 1, 2014||$500 non-refundable|
|July 1, 2014||$1,000 non-refundable|

Special refund requests due to extenuating circumstances may be reviewed by the Contingent Management Team (CMT) on a case-by-case basis and the CMT’s decision will be final.
