International Program Development Team MemberApplication Deadline: 20180831Experiencing international programming within Scouting has a lasting effect. If you would like to contribute to the impact this kind of experience can have, consider doing so as a part of the International Program Team! We are currently seeking applicants interested in helping to bring international ideas and activities, including those developed by WOSM, into the Canadian Path. We will work to develop resources to support the use of WOSM programs such as Messengers of Peace and the World Scout Environment Program, communication projects like Penpals, JOTA and JOTI, and other original ideas about international adventures. Applicants should have knowledge of some of these programs or have a strong willingness to learn more. These positions are created to better Scouts Canada’s International Program. As a member of the team, you will use your skill to develop a program that all scouts across Canada can use and will enjoy. Accountable to: International Commissioner, International Program Team-Program Lead, Term: Appointed by International Program Team-Program Lead The time required: 5 to 10 hours per month Responsibilities: Help IPT-Program Lead to adopt Better World Framework and other International Programs to Canadian Path Help organize training for Ambassadors for Messengers of Peace Help reflect international programs in the Canadian Path Program Work with members of the National Program Team to ensure compatibility Qualifications and Skills: Willingness to learn about International Programs Proven ability of team effort and being a team player Registered as an active member or willing to become an active member of Scouts Canada Demonstrates the ability to be creative and have own ideas of how to implement the program Willing to share program experience. Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work with all levels of management, staff, and volunteers.
