Campbell River, BC – On Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm the Strathcona Regional District’s (SRD) Emergency Communications Team will be assisting Scouts Canada with their worldwide Jamboree-On-The-Air (JOTA) exercise.
JOTA is an annual event in which Scouts all over the world connect with each other by means of amateur radio. The majority of activities during this exercise will take place at the Campbell River Search and Rescue Hall and at the Willow Point Park Trails. The SRD invites members of the public who wish to learn more about how amateur radio provides support during a disaster to drop by, observe, and ask questions.
