Supporting the local food bank

The Cavagnal Scouts wanted to donate to our local food bank, so they all brought in some money. First, they discussed who would use a food bank and for what reasons. We then discussed healthy food choices, affordability and storage. The youth were then given grocery flyers to make grocery lists. A short walk brought us to our local IGA, where in small groups they shopped for suitable donations and then bought them. To finish off our evening, we dropped by our food bank, Le Pont Bridging, where the youth then got to place their donations on the shelves.
