We would like to wish you and your families a safe, festive holiday season filled with joy and happiness. This time of year provides us with an opportunity to review our accomplishments and express our appreciation for your dedication to Scouting. It is thanks to your commitment we are able see our vision of Canadian youth making a meaningful contribution to creating a better world come to fruition.
Looking back on the past year, the first thing that comes to mind is, “What a great year for Scouting in Canada.” From Good Turn Week Projects that filled food banks to community service initiatives that maintained greenspace and planted trees, Scouting youth led the charge in bringing the Movement to life in communities across Canada. The year also saw Scouts forge friendships and memories that will last a lifetime at the 13th Canadian Jamboree, on Camp Nedooae, Nova Scotia. And more Scouts than ever experienced countless “firsts” on the Canadian Path due to their devoted Scouters. Every year Scouters go above and beyond to ensure our youth have great, safe adventures and for that, we thank you.
With a successful year behind us, we look forward to working together to give even more youth the opportunity to experience incredible adventures they will only find in Scouting.
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year.
Yours in Scouting,
National Youth Commissioner and Chair of the National Youth Network
