Discover the benefits of Volunteering

In Their Own Words

Meet some of our volunteers who are helping shape Canada’s next generation of well-rounded youth

In this world, kids hear NO a lot. At Scouts, we say YES to kids! When kids hear YES, they feel empowered and invigorated. They seize the chance to explore their creativity, develop new talents and unearth their passions. Let’s unite and embrace the spirit of saying YES to kids!

Got Questions?

Volunteering with Scouts Canada is enjoyable, adaptable, and rewarding. Whether you can volunteer weekly, monthly, or annually, any time you give is valued.

You’ll work alongside a team of enthusiastic volunteers who love Scouting adventures just as much as the kids they help. We offer training and exciting activities, while you bring your enthusiasm.

There are many ways to volunteer, whether you prefer administrative tasks, sharing your skills, or directly supporting youth. Your time commitment can vary based on your schedule and role.

You can learn new skills to reach your goals, both personally and professionally. A trained volunteer goes through online and hands-on learning about youth, planning programs, leading, and managing risks.

In Scouting, you can also pick up skills like marketing, communication, money management, and fundraising. Plus, Scouts Canada has top-notch courses to help volunteers grow.

Volunteering with us is easy, enjoyable, and adaptable. You'll have support from a lively team of adults who love Scouting as much as the kids they mentor. We handle the training and adventures; you bring the excitement.

To start, create a MyScouts account and fill out the registration form or email join@scouts.ca. Use the Volunteer Registration Guide for step-by-step instructions. We'll send your application to your local Council office.
