Fundraising Program Manager

Scouts Canada is seeking a Fundraising Program Manager to join our Communications & Revenue Development Team. Reporting to the Director, Communications & Revenue Development you will contribute to the fundraising and direct mail programs. This is a remote role reporting to the National office in Ottawa, ON.

The Fundraising Program Manager manages three national fundraising campaigns, provides administrative support to the Development Team, and identifies opportunities for greater donor engagement to contribute to the success in raising funds for Scouts Canada. Specifically, you will be responsible for the following:

Fundraising

• Manage national fundraising campaigns: vendor relations, website creation, customer service and coordination with Sections and Groups in the field
• Coordinate with the Communications team to develop all fundraising campaign assets.
• Create, maintain, and update reports and spreadsheets for financial tracking
• Track, evaluate, and measure fundraising data and metrics
• Coordinate shipping, Canada post relationship and order fulfillment
• Coordinate with Fundraising coordinators to ensure effective implementation of campaigns in the field
• Develop yearly fundraising plans to maximize efficiency and return on investment to the Groups

Scholarships

• Process applications, prepare spreadsheets, sends copies and score sheets to volunteers for scholarship selection and record results
• Notify all applicants of status of their application
• Prepares and mail scholarship cheques to Universities/colleges and notifies recipients

Individual Donor Relations

• Coordinate Direct Mail campaigns with the support of the Communications Team
• Assist in developing Annual Giving campaigns to support our No One Left Behind Program – subsidies for registration or participation in the Scouts program
• Track, evaluate, and measure data and metrics.

Education, Experience, & Skills

• Post-secondary education preferably in fundraising or Not for Profit related studies, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 2 years of administrative experience with preference to non-profit experience.
• Proven experience of data analysis, data segmentation and statistical understanding.
• Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook & Access. Advanced in Excel
• Experience with fundraising database programs (Raiser’s Edge) is a must.
• Bilingualism is an asset.

Working Conditions

• Some work is extremely deadline driven
• Must role model values of Scouts Canada including the Child and Youth Safety program.
• PRC (Police Record Check) and VSS (Vulnerable Sector Check) required
• Mandatory training requirement
• Regular working hours – some evening or weekend work may be required
