Maintenance Assistant — Camp Adventureland

Job Summary: This position is essential to maintaining a safe, clean, and functional camp environment for campers, staff, and visitors. This position will ensure the property is maintained and safe for program operations and assist as necessary with program setup or take down.

Location: Woodland Trails – 14919 Kennedy Rd, Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON L4A 7X5

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and functionality of camp buildings, cabins, restrooms, and common areas.
  • Conduct repairs on structures, fixtures, and equipment as needed.
  • Maintain the campgrounds, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and clearing debris.
  • Monitor and address any issues related to the landscape, such as irrigation or drainage problems.
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain camp equipment, including tools, vehicles, and recreational gear.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of special events, activities, and programs.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and operating machinery.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
