Day Camp Program Details

This year, families can sign up for our Day Camp program for youth aged 5-12. Our daily activities include arts and crafts, outdoor skills (e.g., fire building, shelter building, hiking, knot tying, orienteering, etc.) as well as outdoor adventure skills (e.g., archery, low ropes challenges, etc.)

They are placed in groups according to their ages and supervised by trained leaders. Our daily program is well balanced. The activities are selected to teach outdoor skills, foster self-confidence, respect for others and the environment, promote teamwork, and be fun! Each activity is age appropriate and takes into consideration the skill levels of the participants.

Camp Impeesa FAQ

Ensuring the safety, respect, and enjoyment of all our campers and staff is our top priority. These are our safety rules and guidelines based on Scouts Canada's standards: All campers must always have staff supervision to ensure safety and guidance. Upon arrival and departure, it’s essential for everyone to check in and out with camp staff to maintain a secure environment.

For activities such as archery, we require the use of appropriate safety gear, which the camp provides

When participating in hiking, campers must stay on marked trails and be accompanied by camp leaders. For night hikes, using flashlights is mandatory to prevent accidents in low visibility.

Cooking should be done only in designated areas, and it’s crucial to monitor closely. Ensure that fires are completely extinguished after use to prevent wildfires and maintain campground safety. Please do not feed or approach wildlife to preserve the natural environment and ensure your safety. Store food securely and dispose of all trash in designated receptacles.

Respect for all camp facilities and reporting any damages to camp staff helps maintain a clean and functional environment for everyone. At Camp Impeesa, we strive for a community atmosphere where bullying and inappropriate behaviour are not tolerated. Respect among campers and staff is paramount. Everyone is encouraged to learn the camp's emergency procedures and evacuation routes and to participate in safety drills. Adhering to these guidelines will ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone at Camp Impeesa. Enjoy your adventure with us!
