For more than 100 years, Scouts Canada has brought a world of adventure, outdoor experience, friendship and fun to 17 million Canadian youth.
Scouting makes a difference in the lives of children, youth and young adults. When providing youth-led opportunities, members determine what areas they would like to grow in as they achieve new 'firsts' and develop into global citizens.
With a versatile array of program areas to focus on, Scouting welcomes youth with diverse interest and goals.
In Canada, we follow a program that's uniquely ours, called the Canadian Path.
The Newfoundland and Labrador Council serves almost 2,000 youth and adult members through 24 groups in the province. The rich geographical diversity of our area allows us to offer a wide variety of programs and experiences to our members, all of which reinforces and builds upon Scouts Canada's mission, principles and vision. With more than 50,000 members, Scouts Canada is the nation's premiere youth-serving organization.
With every new member, with every camp and every community service project, Scouts Canada makes one simple promise to Canadian youth, parents and society: Scouts have fun adventures, discovering new things and experiences they wouldn't discover elsewhere. Along the way they develop into well-rounded individuals, better prepared for success in the world. Scouts is something great. It starts with Scouts.
