NS Moves to Stage 3!

October 20, 2020

Attention All Scouters!

Thank You for your demonstration of resiliency as we adjust to our environment by continuing to monitor and respond to the changing situation.

We, as Nova Scotia Council, have committed to acting prudently and in response to available information and recommendations. We've committed to keeping the health and safety of our members (of all ages) and their families at the forefront of our choices and our decisions throughout this complicated time.

We would also like to recognize all of our Scouters for doing their part in following all of our Stage 2 safety protocols.

We are now pleased to inform you that Nova Scotia Council has moved to Stage 3 of the Re-Opening process effective immediately.  There have been some modifications to the original Stage 3 standards, so please review the new standards before making any plans. You can find the new standard here:

We are still monitoring the situation and we ask for your patience while we continue to balance our collective enthusiasm for Scouting with the imperative need to keep our Scouting families safe. This means that we are prepared to respond quickly to new situations and will pull back if need be. We will communicate these decisions to you should they be necessary.

Again, Thank You for all that you do and have been doing to keep Scouting Alive and Well in New Brunswick. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your Group Commissioner, or Relationship Manager and we will be happy to help you!

Yours In Scouting,

Kate Larkin - Council Relationship Manager

Amy Kehoe - Council Youth Voting Member
