Overnight camping is not permitted in Nova Scotia for the purposes of Scouting

September 10, 2020

Please be advised, that our Provincial Legislation has stated that Group Camping is prohibited. We are seeing similar actions in other Provinces as well. In following our Guiding Principles of safety first, this means that overnight camping is not permitted in Nova Scotia for the purposes of Scouting.
While we understand that this may interfere with some plans already in the making, it is our responsibility to both ensure the safety of our Members and provide the best guidance to our members regarding current rules in place. Remember, we want to be a fast-follower in our journey to re-opening, while we continue to foster the culture of Safety that Scouting is so proudly building. We will keep you updated and will let you know as soon as possible when we have the go ahead.
