The Archery Range Safety Course was developed to ensure a consistent approach to use of the Range in the safest possible manner. It is required for all activity leaders who wish to take their groups to the range throughout the year. Groups CANNOT use the range unless there is an activity leader present who has taken the course! A whistle is the only required equipment.
The Range Course includes:
Scouts Canada Policies
Accessing the Range
Equipment Set-up and Take Down
Assigning Equipment
Range Safety Rules and Guidelines
Signals
Equipment Maintenance
Resources
When complete, certification is good for three years and indicates that an activity leader can safely supervise youth participating in archery.
