BEAVER SCOUT HIKE FOR HUNGER @ CENTRAL PARK- BURNABY, BC

April 04, 2024

BEAVER SCOUT HIKE FOR HUNGER @ CENTRAL PARK- BURNABY, BC

On Sunday, April 28th, 2024, the Pacific Coast Council Beaver Scouts will be holding a Hike for Hunger in

Central Park in Burnaby from 10:00 AM to 12 noon.

There are over 16,000 families that rely on the Greater Vancouver food donations every month and thousands more with food security issues. In honour of Beaver Scouts being a part of Scouting in Canada for 50 years this year, Scouts Canada’s Beaver Scout sections from the Lower Mainland and Sunshine Coast will take this opportunity to show leadership and community initiative as they march for hunger awareness and demonstrate the importance of community action.

Please join us in supporting and dropping off food or making an online donation on April 28th at Central Park.

Note, the entrance to be used at the park (of which there are many) is the one-off Kingsway and through two, huge stone columns and across the road from the Collingwood Bottle Exchange.

There is plenty of parking.

All youth in attendance will be required to have their parent with them at all times.

Scouting groups and their sections are welcome to attend the event together,

but parents will still be required

This is a full uniform event.
