A special plaque is on display outside Camp Samac in Oshawa, marking the site’s historical value.
Camp Samac covers more than 76 hectares along the Oshawa Creek valley.
It has been home to Scouts Canada troops since 1946, helping tens of thousands of children develop outdoor skills across the decades.
