Empowering Youth in Scouting Adventures

February 15, 2024

In collaboration with Scout Gear, Scouts Canada is pleased to announce the launch of the Scout Gear Adventure Fund (SGAF). Thanks to their generous support, the SGAF is set to create exciting opportunities for our young members aged 11-26 to embark on life-changing adventures that will shape their character, build lifelong skills, and create unforgettable memories.

The Scout Gear Adventure Fund is all about ensuring that financial constraints don't stand in the way of youth members experiencing the incredible adventures that Scouting has to offer. We firmly believe that every young person should have the chance to explore the world, challenge themselves, and grow through unique and enriching experiences. That's why this fund has been created – to provide a "hand up" to those who aspire to participate in adventures that last 5 days or longer.

This program is designed to empower Scouts by reducing financial barriers while fostering a sense of responsibility and adventure. If you're an eligible member of Scouts Canada aged 11-26 (see the FAQs below for full eligibly requirements!), dream of embarking on an unforgettable Scouting adventure, and are in need of financial support.

Please note that applications for 2024 are now closed.
