Yellowknife’s beavers, cubs and scouts met in the Co-op parking lot last weekend to race handmade toy cars they had spent weeks building and decorating.
Every rank of scout made a different kind of vehicle, from beaver buggies to kub kars and scout trucks.
According to Shellie Trimble, the group commissioner for Yellowknife Scouts, that’s because each rank needs a different level of difficulty when building a car to race.
