Young adulthood can be a challenge—transitioning into adult life and responsibilities, finding direction, being successful academically or professional, and more. Through adventure, community and mentorship, Rover Scouts gain the confidence and capability to ‘paddle their own canoe’ in life.
Through our Plan-Do-Review method, Rover Scouts are empowered to learn by doing. With Scouts Canada’s Youth-led programming, Rovers put leadership and teamwork into play by planning their activities with the guidance of a mentor. The great Scouting adventure allows them to explore new things, share ideas, learn new skills and create new paths.
Rover Scouts is filled with a little bit of everything and plenty of opportunities for youth to personally develop in areas including like social, physical, intellectual, character, emotional and spiritual. Along the way they meet like-minded individuals, work toward personal goals and develop self-confidence.
As Canada’s largest youth organization, Scouts Canada places great importance on creating a fun and safe environment for our members. By embedding safety in everything we do, we create a culture of safety supported by comprehensive policies, resources and guidelines for all Scouting activities.
