Group takes part in a linking event to hike from meeting place with overview of purpose and safety rules of hike. At park, investigate diversity of trees, plants, flowers. Look for seeds, paths, litter and safe areas. Note creek location and why preventing litter from entering waterways prevents pollution that can work its way to the oceans. Do a park clean-up and take garbage back to meeting place for disposal.
