Campfire Host

As Masters of Ceremonies, organize a fun and formal campfire for other Scouts to attend. If you like, invite other nearby Troops! Invite your guests to contribute skits, songs and cheers. Make it one for the record books! From opening to closing, create one blazing evening that will be burned into people’s memories for years to come!

Plan

  • What do you want to include in your campfire program?
  • How will you light the fire?
  • How will you start your campfire and end your campfire?
  • How will you divide up hosting duties if there is more than one MC?
  • Compose a safety plan.

Do

Take part in a great formal campfire

Review

  • How could you tell if our guests had fun at the campfire?
  • What was the best part of the evening?
  • What do you know now that you did not know before?
  • How did you feel before, during, and after the campfire?
  • What would you do differently in the future?

Keep it Simple

  • Partner with another Section and share this adventure with them! It’s easier to plan with others, so share the workload.

Take it Further

  • Mentor another Section in running a campfire – help your Pack or Troop to go through the steps of running a campfire!
