Learning to lash is an interesting and important survival skill that can come in handy when building improvised shelters or crafting structures for your campsite.
There are many ways lashings can be used: making emergency snowshoes, tying off a tarp at a campsite, making furniture… The possibilities go on and on!
Start small! Rather than lashing with spars, start by lashing with dowels or small sticks. Once you’re used to the feeling of lashing, then you can try scaling up!
