Fruit Salad

I made up this recipe with my father only a few weeks ago. It started out as an idea because I was hungry from staring at the fruits my father had just bought. I suddenly said, “Why don’t we make a fruit salad?” My father agreed without hesitation and we began to make it up as we went along. When we tasted what we’d made, it was delicious. This recipe is easy to make, healthy and very yummy—perfect for a spring or summer dessert when camping. I hope you enjoy this recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 5 to 6 fruits of your choice (for smaller fruits, choose two or three of each)
  • 1/4 cup of lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp of granulated sugar
  • mint leaves and whipped cream (optional)

Directions:

  1. Cut and peel all your chosen fruits into cubes
  2. Toss fruits into a bowl and combine lemon juice and sugar
  3. Mix well
  4. Serve with mint leaves and whipped cream on the side
