Tradition has it that winter adventures take center stage at 1st Lennoxville between the months of January and March.
The fresh, crisp air is exactly what we need after a long day at school or at work. A change of scenery often brings with it fresh ideas too.
Braving the cold is not that much of a big deal when one is properly dressed for the weather. (Remember the Scout motto Be Prepared?) Snow pants, mitts, winter boots, and winter hats are in order.
Snow is such a natural toy!
We can build a snowman or a snow fort, we can snowshoe or sled, we can make snow angels or decorate a tree with snow faces, we can play ‘tag’, or simply run around in the snow, and we can even build a little campfire to warm up.
Enjoying the outdoors in the company of our friends and staying active are at the heart of our winter activities.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
Yours in Scouting,
Didi Gorman, 1st Lennoxville Scouts
