Youth leadership at the Lennoxville Scouts

One of the most rewarding experiences Scouting can offer is leadership roles for its youth.

It is often the case that introverted children discover within themselves an ability to lead which they had not previously been aware of, and which comes as a pleasant surprise.

The 1st Lennoxville Scouts offers such members an opportunity to organize activities for younger children within our group.

It is a pleasure watching a 14-year-old guiding our Beaver Colony (ages 5-7) in a game of Red Light Green Light Hoops; the Beavers looking up to the Scout, delighting in the new energy and dynamics brought to the scene by their older peer.

Such activities contribute immensely to the confidence and self-esteem of the budding young leader, and serve as an inspiration to us all.

We are privileged to be able to provide our members with experiences like these, where they can truly blossom.

Yours in Scouting,

Didi Gorman, 1st Lennoxville Scouts
