If you are interested, you are invited to submit your application for the volunteer position of Council Youth Commissioner — New Brunswick.
The Council Youth Commissioner works as an equal with a volunteer Council Commissioner and a paid Council Relationship Manager, as part of the Council Key 3, to manage all aspects of the Council. Working closely with a team of volunteers, and the Council Leadership Team, the Council Youth Commissioner is responsible for supporting and growing the Scouting movement in New Brunswick, as well as being a vital member of the National Service Team and setting the direction for Scouting in Canada.
As the CYC, youth will have the opportunity to take on new challenges and initiatives at both the Council and National levels. They will have the chance to meet new people in and out of Scouts, and most importantly, they can be the voice that helps to grow and promote Scouting.
The job has a variety of tasks and is dynamic and changing. The ability to understand, quickly react and motivate others to adapt to the changing organizational environment is a critical key to success.
