ScoutSafe is Scouts Canada’s incident reporting app that allows Scouters, parents and youth to report incidents as they happen, enabling the Safe Scouting Team to respond to incidents in a more timely and proactive manner.
ScoutSafe is available for download on both Android and iOS devices.As a Scouter, parent, youth or staff member, you can join download the app on your smartphone or tablet. Simply click the icon below to download your free version:

ScoutSafe is simply an addition to the reporting mechanisms in place. You can still report using the Incident Report Form and sending to Safe Scouting via email: firstname.lastname@example.org, Fax: 613-224-3571, or mailing to Scouts Canada: Safe Scouting, 1345 Baseline Rd, Ottawa On., K2C 0A7.

What safety incidents should be reported on the ScoutSafe App?
Injuries and property damage can be reported via the app. Youth protection issues must be reported to Safe Scouting using 1-800-339-6643.
I have to report an emergency; can I do this on the app?
If anyone is at immediate risk, please call 911 immediately. In the case of an emergency situation or if you need immediate assistance, please call Safe Scouting at 1-800-339-6643 (24 hours).
Will I still be able to report via mail, fax, telephone or email?
Does the ScoutSafe app adhere to Scouts Canada’s privacy policies?
Where do the reports go after they are submitted?
The report is sent directly to the Safe Scouting team, who review it and manage the incident. Once submitted, users will receive a message confirming receipt and a unique reference number that can be used to request a copy of the incident report.
Can I submit a report anonymously?
If you wish to report an incident anonymously please contact the Safe Scouting Team by phone at 1-800-339-6643, or by mail to Safe Scouting Team at 1345 Baseline Rd, Ottawa, ON K2C 0A7.
Will the Group, Area or Council Commissioner also get a copy of the report?
Reports submitted through the ScoutSafe App will follow usual incident reporting procedure whereas the Safe Scouting department will inform Group, Area, and Council Commissioners as required, but ensure confidentiality of a report when necessary.
