Camp Opemikon


Since 1938, Camp Opemikon has served the camping needs of more than half a million members of the Scouting family.  The camp is owned and operated by Scouts Canada, Voyageur Council, and is one of the finest residential Scout camps in Canada.  Campers from other parts of Canada and around the world are welcome.

This camp is located on the southern tip of the Canadian Shield on Christie Lake, 100 km southwest of Ottawa.  This idyllic camp on more than 200 acres of rugged terrain, nestled among three pristine lakes, provides the perfect Scouting adventure away from busy roads and crowded cities.

2021 Family Adventure Camp is open for bookings!

Family Adventure Camp has been designed to offer a genuine Scouts Canada camping and programming experience during the months of July and August. Scouting families looking for adventure this summer may book a cabin or a tent site and, as part of their booking, have access to daily programming events led by our enthusiastic program staff, full access to the property's natural amenities and waterfront equipment, and a wide variety of self-directed activity resources and tools. Family Adventure day passes are also available for those looking for a family day trip!
