The Scouts Canada National Museum (SCNM) is participating in the City of Ottawa’s 2022 Doors Open (DOO) event on June 4th and 5th. The SCNM is prepared to welcome your visit in person or virtually with a unique showcase of the history of Scouting since its founding in 1907 by Robert Baden-Powell, and the development of Scouting’s age-related programs since then. There are new displays and refreshed exhibits.
In person: Please feel free to come between the hours of 10:00am and 4:00pm Saturday June 4th or Sunday June 5th and take in the extraordinary record of Scouting in Canada and Scouting’s impact on our local community. Scouts Canada Amateur Radio Station VE3SHQ will be on the air and offer visitors the opportunity to operate the Radios and have a conversation with other Amateur Operators.
Virtually: The presentation focuses on Scouting events and artifact displays, all of which have stories to tell that encourage our youth to become responsible Canadian citizens. To view the virtual presentation, click the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Kyw7kmfrvA
