JOTA/JOTI (Jamboree on the Air/Internet) is an annual Scouting event that uses amateur radio to link Scouts around the world. Learn more about JOTA/JOTI on Scouts Canada's site: http://www.jota-joti.ca/

This JOTA camp is a weekend event at the Joe Rich Shooting Range near Kelowna for Scouts across BC. We invite Scouts to come participate in several stations with Venturers and Rovers helping out to run the event. Come and meet new Scouts in person and around the world on the airwaves and across the internet! Develop your OAS skills, including ham radio, black powder / gun handling, archery, hawk and knife, lashing, and orienteering.

WHERE: 

Joe Rich Shooting Range outside of Kelowna
Arrive October 18, 6pm (those groups that offer to help with set-up can arrive anytime after noon on Friday)
Depart October 20, 2pm (those groups that offer to help clean up will be done by 4pm)

Registration:

Like last year, please use THIS website to register your group on our waitlist. (https://1st-bear-jota.vercel.app/). 

Once all youth are registered (after September 1), please use one of the following options for payment. Your registration is not final until payment is received.

COST

These fees cover the cost of being on site, a badge, food, and supplies for the weekend.

• Each Scout is $65 all registrations due by October 8th, after October 1st Fee is $80

• Each Scouter is $45

• Any Venturer or Rover volunteers are $25.

WE PROVIDE:

• Mug-up on Friday

• Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Mug-Up on Saturday

• Breakfast and Lunch on Sunday

 Activities will Include:

• Ham Radio stations including Morse Code

• Jamboree on the Internet station

• Black Powder and Modern Gun Shooting. - This is taught by experienced members of the Black Powder Gun Club and youth will get to shoot 22's, Black Powder Rifles and potentially other modern guns.

• Archery

• Hawk and Knife

• Lashing Project

• Orienteering
