Members of the 1st Hastings Scouts received their Wood Badge woggles Saturday during a hike of the Stoney Lake Loop in northern Peterborough County.
The group was taking part in the Canadian Path platform, which encourages the development of leadership roles in youth. Scouts have to complete all of the sections of the Wood Badge I for the Canadian Path, Respect in Sport, Scouting Fundamentals, Accessibility Training and go through a formal interview process, a first for many of them.
The members of 1st Hastings also added to their required high school volunteer hours by taking part in the program.
