Scouts Canada’s Annual Conference 2021

Scouts Canada’s Annual Conference will take place from Saturday, November 20th to Sunday, November 21st. Tune in to learn about the positive impact Scouting has had on Canadian youth in the 2020-2021 year, meet our Board of Governors and to get a glimpse of what’s to come next year.

The Board of Governors will launch Scouts Canada’s new strategic plan which aims to strengthen Scouts Canada’s impact and provide access to great, safe Scouting adventures to more youth across Canada. There will also be an opportunity to meet the new National Key 3 and a special guest appearance with some exciting news to share!

STRATEGIC PLAN WORKSHOPS

Following the Strategic Plan Launch, workshops will be hosted on each of the plan’s pillars. All members are invited to attend and participate in facilitated discussions about each pillar’s next steps and implementation. To learn more about the themes under consideration please see here.

Each workshop will run 3 times, taking ~45 minutes per session. Each session will include 4 break out rooms each representing a pillar. You will be asked to select 1 when you join.  If you would like to contribute to more than 1, please register for multiple sessions. The pillars are below:

  1. Strengthen core Scouting program: deliver strong core Scouting programs through improved program quality and enhanced volunteer experience.
  2. Engage Canadians in new ways: identify meaningful new ways to engage Canadians while leveraging brand attributes and core competencies.
  3. Be inclusive, and pursue Indigenous Reconciliation: identify opportunities to create a more inclusive organization, and engage Indigenous communities in an authentic Reconciliation journey.
  4. Unlock the value of our assets: pursue strategies to unlock the value of properties in non-traditional ways.
