The Uxbridge Scouts marked 100 years of programming in Uxbridge this month.
The 1st Uxbridge Scouts came into being on Sept. 9, 1922, when they received their charter from original sponsor St. Paul’s Anglican Church. On Oct. 1, members of 1st Uxbridge gathered together at Elgin Park to mark the momentous milestone.
“For 100 years, youth have been enjoying outdoor adventures, developing leadership skills, and giving back to the community in many different ways,” said Craig Marlatt, group commissioner for 1st Uxbridge.
